Issue 42

Dear Santa,issue-42cover.jpg

Still waiting on those six foot Brazilian twins, that self cleaning penthouse, the all night club that doesn't involve Ryanair 'customer care', a non 'Armageddon Is Nigh' news story, a woolly hat that suits me, oh and world peace, an end to poverty, yadda yadda...pdf Issue 42: December 08

But if for some strange reason I don't find Binki and Kini, a sane and capable Government, or a non-transmorgative cranial warming device under the tree come the 25th, I will not be too forlorn...For it's been a pretty deadly year it has to be said.

We've had our long awaited and shiny .ie to play with for starters, we popped our festival cherry on the best weekend of the whole year with our tent at Life Festival (the Friday and Saturday nights were the proudest of my life, hands down). Then there was the first ever record label showcase festival, Inisfox, which we're delighted to be involved with. Kudos to Mick, Lorcan and Dave on that one – just wait till you see what's planned for next year. And we're also getting jiggy with Sibin, so that's three biggies in the pipeline for the '09 already. Some of you will also have heard of (and partaken in) a whole new direction for Connected in the new year, production is well underway for that one and all I'll say now is we'll be reaching out and touching you in places a lot closer to home – and you, durt burd, will love it...

Wanna give a big shout out here to every one involved who gives me, Liam and the Count a much needed dig out with the whole shebang. Legends the lot of yas... Personally I've loved the '08 because of the people around me, 'cos I've started making tunes again, and cos I'm about to start collaborating with the man I think is the rawest talent in the country – Rob Murphy. And so, with a Christmas party, trustworthy 'best of' lists, interviews and more, there's loads to keep ya entertained till the arrival of the big day – and the twins. Don't let me down Father C.
